Simple Breakfast Berry Bowl
This simple 5-ingredient breakfast bowl of berries, banana, nut butter and milk can be made in 5 minutes or less. It's light, fruity, and can be enjoyed in the morning or as a mid-day snack.
I've been eating this really simple berry bowl for breakfast for a while now, but I hadn't thought to share it because it's so easy. But sometimes the simplest recipes are the best ones, you know? I love a good no-fuss meal and this is pretty much exactly that.
This berry bowl is just 5 ingredients but the world is really your oyster when it comes to giving it some extra oomph. Oomf?
Switch up the berries, add some hemp seeds on top, or play around with different nut and seed butters. I often use sunflower seed butter, but I also adore this recipe with almond butter, hazelnut butter, and peanut butter.
The sunflower seed butter (whichever you choose) is what really brings this berry bowl together. Without it, you've just got a bowl of fruit, but nut butter helps to make it more satiating by supplying a good dose of healthy fats. You can also use a higher protein milk such as soy or cow’s milk for extra satiety.
